Who We Are
Pete Lucy, Sr. is what distinguishes Tri-City Wrecker And Auto Repair from all other towing and auto repair centers. Treating folks with respect and integrity, the way he would like to be treated. That simple formula coupled with hard work spelled SUCCESS for Pete Lucy.
He started his towing business in the early 1970's with just one wrecker, while still working shift work with Brown-Williamson Tobacco Company. From that humble beginning he has built a powerhouse operation of three large wreckers, two rollbacks and a tractor and trailer. In the late 1980's he expanded his business from just towing to adding a repair shop in Prince George County. Joining him in the business are his two sons Pete Lucy, Jr. and Kevin Lucy, daughter-in-law Christi, two other mechanics: Trent Hardee and Everett Harris, four part-time drivers: Bob Jones, who designed and painted the fleet and owns his own body shop, Reid Foster, Mark Hanshew and Brian Karnes. The towing and repair businesses have been a booming success, serving the needs of Tri-City area residents and businesses for more than 50 years.
Mr. Lucy still finds time to do what he loves best, Fox Hunting. Traveling to different states and placing his dogs in a distinguished position, he is an avid hunter, he shares his passion for hunting with his long-time friend James Faulcon, who helps care for Mr. Lucy's dogs with the help of Tim Lucy, his grandson. His bride of over 43 years, Betty, shares in the family business and joins in on the hunting trips as well.
The Lucy's have owned and operated Tri-City Wrecker and Auto Repair from the heart of Prince George County just off Route 156. Having lived in Prince George County for more than 35 years, both sons graduated from Prince George High School. Pete Jr. and Kevin are certified in many automotive fields and are greatly experienced in light and heavy duty towing/recovery.
Mr. Lucy states, "We would not be here if it were not for our loyal customers whom we 'THANK' very much for their trust and confidence and we are most grateful for their business."
